A few days ago, the church in Trecastagni, outside of Catania, had two different baptisms, two women who have been seeking Christ despite many challenges to their faith from their friends and family. Despite the discouragement and the hurdles to overcome, these two women made their decision to follow Christ and were baptized into his death and resurrection.

Following their time at the beach, the entire group returned back to the house where the church meets and continued to talk with the friends and family who had been, up to that point, negative about their family members’ decision to be baptized. Thankfully, what they had seen and experienced softened their hearts and they had an opportunity to share with one another regarding their faith. As they did so, some who were there made the decision that they too wanted to give their lives to God and turn to follow Christ, leaving addictions and even checking themselves into rehab programs from their time there.

God answered the prayers of many throughout the day and it was a powerful movement of God’s Spirit to make changes amongst the people who were there. Pray that God would continue to work in this group to make disciples and continue to grow together!
